Jessie doesn’t mess around when it comes to working out. His favorite workout? Strength training. She regularly shares her workouts on Instagram. In one of her most recent, she starts with 30 seconds of jump rope, continues with running knees, ankle holds, high kicks, lunges and side lunges, spinal rotations and tension squats. The next step ? Overhead squats with resistance bands, medicine ball slams and tosses, medicine ball chest passes, seated medicine ball tosses, resistance band pull-ups, deadlifts, drop exercises, weighted overhead presses, inverted rows , bent over kettlebell rows, direction of weight plate wheel exercises, barbell spins and box jumps. “I train 3-4 times a week and they’re pretty much like that with some variation whether we do more upper body or lower body,” she revealed.

Although Jessie doesn’t explicitly call her method of fasting intermittent fasting, she does fast for long periods of time. She explained to women’s health that her diet closely resembles the 16:8 fasting routine. “I eat what I want to eat in that time frame, but don’t overdo it,” she explained. “Timing is really important to me.”


Jessie’s diet is high in protein. She could start the day with a bowl of oatmeal or toast and a coffee with cream. After the workout, she’ll sip a protein shake. “For lunch, I’ll have 4-6 ounces of chicken salad or chicken over rice,” she revealed on Instagram. “For dinner, I’ll either have lean red meat, like flank steak with veggies, chili from my book, or the same sort of thing – chicken and rice veggies or my enchiladas from my first book. “

Jessie keeps healthy frozen meals from Trader Joe’s on hand. “They’re so good if I don’t have time to make lunch,” she told Women’s Health. “I get the Indian curry or butter chicken and rice dishes, and they’re so delicious and filling. I have a supply of them in the freezer in the garage. I never want to run out.”

Jessie sticks to her workout schedule, even on vacation. “I arrived at 1:30am last night after shooting a music video (details on that to come)! But I wasn’t going to miss my practice! Gotta do it! “My mom did South Beach when she was younger,” the singer explained to E! News. “And I remember seeing the book at home and that was one thing.” In 2015, she chose to try the low carb diet after welcoming her second child. “I was just like, ‘Okay, if mom made it and we’re the same, it’ll work for me. I had carbs and I just felt like I was already living like this,'” she continued. . “I felt like I saw results instantly. I went through the program and trained and it was like, okay.”
