The Lovely by Skin Institute chain of beauty salons has gone into liquidation and is permanently closing all of its stores.
The Herald understands the company went into liquidation today and has since been sending
send text messages to his clients to say that he would no longer be able to honor the appointments made.
Staff would have been informed of the closure today.
Lovely by Skin Institute is the sister company of Skin Institute and is known to sell treatment packages, including special “buy 10 up front” offers for a number of skin treatments, including hair removal. laser.
Yesterday the company posted promotions on its Instagram advertising “20% of all skin and laser treatments”. Comments on today’s post express concerns from customers about not being able to use their voucher anymore and wanting their money back, wondering what happened to the organization.
A Skin Institute staff member the Herald spoke to said the situation was “sad” and “very disappointing”. She said the company would communicate more with its customers while it waits for the liquidation process.
John Fisk and Craig Sanson of PwC have been appointed as liquidators. Fisk has been contacted for comment.
The Companies Office shows no mention of the company going into liquidation at this time.
The Herald was unable to contact Lovely by Skin Institute and sought comment from parent company, the Skin Institute.
This afternoon, Lovely by Skin Institute sent an email to its customers to confirm that the company had gone into liquidation and that its store was permanently closed.
The company recommends that clients who wish to continue with their booked treatments do so through the Skin Institute or Off & On.
“We regret that, despite our team’s best efforts under prolonged difficult circumstances, it is no longer possible to continue trading. Thank you for the support you have shown us during this period,” the statement read in part.
“If you have specific concerns about a prepay plan or gift certificates you’ve purchased and haven’t had a chance to use yet, these two brands will be happy to honor them for you. We will contact you shortly to provide further detail on how this can be done.”
Company office records show Lovely by Skin Institute was incorporated in May 2018 and Justin Liddell is listed as the sole director.
Lovely by Skin Institute had six clinics in Auckland.
