Simon Cowell is said to have left Walk The Line as it was revealed that the show will only be on our screens for a week.
The game show was billed as the 62-year-old music mogul’s big comeback, but he announced he was stepping down as judge on the show.
He is expected to be replaced by Take That star Gary Barlow as the series prepares to make its arrival.
However, unlike Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor, it is said that the live show will only be on the box for one week as it will be “split” into six episodes which will air on consecutive nights.

A source told The Sun: “This might surprise viewers as they are linking Simon’s shows, namely X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, to Saturday night TV.
âBut Walk The Line is really a midweek show, in the same vein as the BGT Live Finals.
âExcept that the live-action finale of the new game show may not even fall on a Saturday – ITV’s schedulers haven’t decided yet.
“Simon and the team felt that removing the show like that lent itself to increasing the tension and seemed a more appropriate approach in the frenzy of watching.”
While Simon will no longer be a judge, Gary will be joined by Craig David and Mabel in the panel. Maya Jama will be responsible for hosting duties.
Simon is said to have stepped down to reduce his workload and spend more time with his family.
Simon said of the decision to hand the job over to Gary: âThis is a situation where I decided it was right for me to focus on my role as creator and producer as we prepare for the job. extremely exciting launch.

âGary’s musical pedigree is second to none – and we’ve known each other for a long time now – so I’m delighted that he is taking over for me for the first set of Walk The Line. I know he will do a fantastic job.â
The Sun reports that Simon has decided to start reducing his workload so that he can spend more quality time with his partner Lauren Silverman and young son Eric.
The show is billed as a musical version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and will see contestants singing to win a prize of £ 500,000.
If the contestants choose to fight, they will have a chance to win an even bigger cash prize.
