With the end of the Rolex 24, it’s time to turn to other avenues of entertainment. Fortunately, this is never a problem in Volusia County. This week we have arts, music and a women’s exhibition, just to start. There is always something happening in this area, so enjoy it and stay safe.
This exhibition at the Museum of Art – DeLand features 48 works from the museum’s permanent collection and the private collection of Greg and Beth Milliken. The artists are called The Outsiders because they are self-taught, have received no formal training, and have or have had little or no contact with the mainstream art world. Featured artists include Harold Finster, Jimmy Lee Sudduth and Florida Highwayman Harold Newton.
The exhibit will continue through May 8 at the museum, 600 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand. For more information call 386-279-7534 or visit moartdeland.org
